Photo cleanup · before you edit
Find the limits before you start editing.
Check dimensions, device and whether uploads are allowed. This does not edit the photo or rank visual quality. Mismatches and missing evidence stay visible.
Check this photo’s constraints
Compare the free paths in EraseCat and Cleanup.pictures. This workspace checks limits; it does not edit images or score tools.
Not checked yet. After entering or changing details, choose “Check these constraints”. Unknowns stay unknown; they never count as a pass.
Sources, observed scope and unknowns
Owned tool · source and release record · 2026-09-21
Release record: inference runs locally in the browser; the first run needs a model download. Up to 4,000,000 pixels, 4096 px per side and 20 MiB per file. Oversized images are rejected, not silently resized. Downloading a model is separate from uploading a photo.
EraseCat native-size export samples
Internal engineering test · desktop Chrome · 2026-09-21
Six 1600×1000 runs, a 1448×1086 cup image and a 600×400 alpha image retained export dimensions; production PNGs were independently downloaded and checked. The grid fixture distorted and other repairs can leave tonal patches. Link: public examples. These are internal samples, not customer reviews; real phones were not tested.
Cleanup.pictures free export limit
Official statement · not our runtime test · 2026-09-24
The official FAQ says images of any resolution can be imported and free exports are limited to 720 px. We check original-size needs against a 720 px longest side; one actual free export is recorded separately. Processing location and a file-byte limit remain unconfirmed.
Cleanup.pictures observed free export
Internal engineering test · desktop Chrome · 2026-09-24
The same internal flat-background fixture: 1600×1000 input, free SD path, actual downloaded 720×450 PNG (70,394 bytes); no account, payment or trial. A narrow first mask left the object; broader coverage removed it with a tonal patch remaining. The tools used different masks, so this does not rank quality or speed. Processing location, byte limits and real phones remain unverified.
Samples and official statements do not replace inspecting your own export. Complete the edit in your chosen tool, then check its dimensions and repair quality.
Evidence and actual files
Inspect what gets delivered.
The same input, tested on different dates with different brush strokes. These files establish export dimensions and bounded observations, not a controlled quality ranking, speed comparison or guarantee for other photos. EraseCat is from September 21 engineering acceptance; Cleanup from the September 24 free flow.

The task is to remove the small dark block. No customer photo or user data is involved.
Download the actual file
Saved desktop Chrome engineering output. The complete mask removes the target; a slight tonal patch remains.
Download the actual file
Actual download from the free SD path, without an account or payment. The target is removed; the larger brush area leaves a visible tonal patch.
Download the actual fileEraseCat shares this site's operator. This simple fixture does not establish seamless repairs on complex scenes; a previous grid fixture distorted. Cleanup’s free limit is documented on its official site. Its processing location, real-phone performance and full file limits were not verified in this run. Cleanup official FAQ
Before you use the result
- Does CatRanks erase the object?
- No. It checks your requirements against tool limits and provides direct links. An optional image is read locally for dimensions and is not forwarded to a candidate website.
- Do matching limits guarantee a good result?
- No. Device performance, complex backgrounds and your particular image still matter. A requirement check is not a full compatibility test or a quality guarantee.
- Why disclose ownership?
- EraseCat and CatRanks share an operator. Cleanup.pictures is an external candidate. Both are checked against the same inputs without an overall score.
